Rebirth

It's been over 2 months since I've posted, which is an awfully long time. About three months ago I wrote this:

"I never thought of what would happen to the blog after I graduated college. It seemed so far away."

and since then I haven't known where I wanted this blog to go. I've thought about scrapping it and starting a new blog; I thought about just continuing to blog sporadically about my life; I've though about changing the focus and the theme of the whole damn thing. I've thought, and I've written, but I haven't posted.

Ultimately, I decided I want several things out of this blog. How and if they evolve remains to be seen. Life continues to be in flux, and there are several big events, changes, and moves on my horizon, so to commit to a writing schedule, theme, or idea is impossible! It's all very exciting, but it's quite frustrating as well.

I want this blog to be a place of inspiration, a place where I can share the creative impulses that fuel me. More than anything creativity--in the form of fiber arts, creatively reusing materials, and of course beer--are what drives me. This is why I have this blog.

I also want to be able to share that creativity with you. Share ideas, pictures, projects...all the things that make the blogsphere and the internet such a vibrant place. Share knitting, share stories, share beer recipes, you name it.

I want a place to talk about the struggles of being a 23 year old knitter, beer drinker, environmentalist, etc, who is struggling to pay off her college debt, raise two dogs and a cat, and continue a long distance relationship.

I want to talk about beer more. After all, this is skeins AND steins. Often the latter is forgotten...no more!

So, with that, I declare Skeins and Steins reborn, in a post-college life. I have some huge, exciting, and wonderful news to share in the near future!

For now, happy crafting, and happy drinking!

keep posting! we were talking about beer today in my german class. i know what its like to be in limbo about what to do. i'm 23 and going back to school full time. i took a year off to figure out what the hell i want to do and then i'm back in school with 18 year olds in my classes! a little hard to get used to. i also love to knit and drink beer. wish i had more time to do both. keep posting!
